These paintings follow a time honoured tradition of making studies and preliminary sketches that record and note the colours, composition and atmosphere in the moment and help to imprint the experience on the mind and then inform and act as a memory aid when painting back in the studio.

7x5" acrylic paintings can be purchased from The SketchBook unframed for £95 within a sealed polybag and backing board or bonded with neutral pH adhesive onto a 5mm mdf panel and float mounted into a hand painted custom frame for £195
